The buckle is used to fix the pallet and the loads and to connect the two ends of the strap during the application of the strap. Buckles are also referred as wire buckles.
The quality of the buckles is the most important factor affecting the strength of the joint of the strap. The quality of the buckles depends on the diameter of the wire, the quality of the wire used, the quality of the surface coating and the form of the buckle.
CO-STRAP buckles are mainly used in Polyester Corded Composite Straps, Polyester Corded Hotmelt ( Textile ) Straps and Polyester Corded Woven Strap types and are also used with PET Straps and PP Straps.
CO-STRAP Buckles, are produced in two different surface qualities: Phosphated and Galvanized Buckles.

The quality of the buckle is one the important parameters that determine the System Strength of the strap. The most important factor affecting the system strength is the strength of the Joint.
The System Strength of the Polyester Corded Composite Straps is very important parameter in terms of securing the package. As an example, in Composite Straps, the System Strength should be more than 60% of its Linear Break Strength.

1. Phosphated Buckles
The wire used to produce Wire Buckle is Phosphated and that is why they are referred as Phosphated Buckles.
Phosphated Buckles are used with Co-Strap Polyester Corded Hotmelt (Textile ) Straps and Co-Strap Polyester Corded Woven Strap applications. Thanks to their roughness on the wire surface, they are more compatible with these types of straps.
2. Galvanized Buckles
The wire used to produce Wire Buckle is Galvanized and that is why they are referred as Galvanized Buckles.
Co-Strap Galvanized Buckles are used with Polyester Corded Composite Straps and Polyester Corded Hotmelt (Textile) Straps. They are also used with PET Strap and PP Strap applications. Although the System Strength of the PET Strap & Buckle and PP Strap & Buckle combination is not as strong as Composite Strap & Buckle combination, for light applications PET Strap and PP Strap are used manually with a Galvanized Buckle due to its ease of use.
